The 2023 WGA Writers Strike

While CLSC Studios is barely even a company at this point, the owner and operator, Chase Collins, is first and foremost an aspiring screenwriter who felt it was his obligation to make his stance on this issue clear:

CLSC Studios stands with the 11,500 WGA members in complete solidarity.

Writers are facing the most comprehensive assault on compensation and working conditions that they have seen in a generation. The studios have taken advantage of the transition to streaming to underpay entertainment industry workers, including writers in every area of work. Like too many working people across our economy, as corporate profits grow, writers are just not keeping up. – The Writers Guild of America

Directly below are images pulled from the WGA which highlight how the industry has changed with the introduction of streaming services and how writers have been left behind in this new age of content consumption.

If you are interested in learning more about Chase’s thoughts on the WGA Strike, he discusses it in detail on episode 24 of The IMPROVE Podcast.
